PROBLEM

Cocktail enthusiasts and home bartenders face difficulties in finding quality cocktail recipes.

SOLUTION

A digital cocktail catalog that simplifies the discovery and registration of recipes.

Discovery

During the discovery process, I analyzed some of the options already available. One of the main observations was that many of them required users to manually enter cocktail recipes, which proved to be quite tedious, especially for the universal cocktail classics. This experience motivated me to seek a more efficient and practical solution for cocktail enthusiasts.

Ideation

During the ideation phase, I used a structured approach to develop the app concept. I started by creating low-fidelity wireframes to outline the main features, basic layouts, and information architecture definition. Additionally, I developed a detailed flowchart to map out the app's navigation flow, ensuring a seamless user experience.

As a UX designer, I developed an intuitive solution that uses data from two REST APIs to provide a smooth and efficient user experience. With this integration, the app combines information from different sources to offer high-quality recipes and images, allowing users to quickly search and save classic recipes.

Conception

Due to the short timeframe and the fact that it was an individual project, I opted for an agile approach during the app's development. Since I already had a clear vision of the app's final look after working on the mid-fidelity wireframes, I decided to develop the high-fidelity screens directly in the code. This allowed me to save time and resources, focusing on implementing the app's essential features and agile iteration cycles.

During the development process, I used modern frameworks such as SwiftUI for the user interface and SwiftData for data persistence, making the most of the latest technologies available on the iOS platform.

Delivery

The Clink app delivery was divided into two milestones. In the first week, I completed the entire discovery, ideation, and conception process of the MVP, integrating the app's basic features. During the second week, I focused on the publication milestone, developing and implementing the app's branding to ensure a cohesive and attractive visual identity. Additionally, I prepared the necessary metadata for the version 1.0 publication.

Currently, Clink is already available for free on the App Store. Despite being a side project without a formal promotion strategy, the app has already gained a base of active monthly users, indicating a promising future for new iterations.
